FEMALE METALHEADS: TAKING A STAND

Women have and will continue to grow in the heavy metal community over the years. It already shows through the accomplishments women have already made. They are no longer lingering in the shadows, they are out in the open making their voices heard. All it took was for one band to step up and say they were not going to deal with the discrimination against females and soon more women followed in their footsteps. This serves as an inspiration to young girls everywhere. They should never be scared to do what they love because they are just a girl or because society views them in a negative light. The women who stood up for what they believed in are the ones every female should strive to be like.
